Background
The L.A. Wholesale Produce Market covers over 25 acres in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and does over a billion dollars worth of business every year. The challenge was to re-roof the market as quickly as possible without any disruption to the hundreds of business operating there. Although the market is large, available space for project staging was minimal. What’s more, because they’re in the business of handling food, there could be no odors or smells from the roofing process that might have tainted the millions of pounds of fruits and vegetables that transit through the site daily.
Solution
