Project Summary

Solution
Highland installed the full RainShield system across roughly 149,000 square feet of roof surface, providing a durable and reflective long-term solution. The team also installed 11 new curbed skylights and 11 UL-rated smoke hatches, applied SPF foam around nine air-handler curbs, and replaced deteriorated wood sleepers supporting large ductwork. Together, these improvements refreshed the roof system, upgraded critical rooftop penetrations, and strengthened long-term performance.
Results
The completed roofing system delivers improved weather protection, reflectivity, and long-term durability for Fender’s facility. Replacing the skylights and smoke hatches updated key safety and daylighting components, while the reinforcement of air-handler curbs and ductwork supports adds stability where heavy mechanical equipment is present. Highland completed the work while maintaining communication with Fender’s facilities team and coordinating with external contractors as needed, allowing operations inside the building to continue without interruption.
