About Brett

As the Chairman of the Board of Directors and founder of Highland Commercial Roofing, Brett’s immersion in the roofing industry began during his formative years in Monrovia, California. He initially delved into the field by engaging in part-time tasks, loading shingles, and participating in roof tear-offs for a residential contractor while still in high school. His dedication to roofing persisted during his time at the University of California at Los Angeles, where he continued his industry involvement. Progressing from a foreman to superintendent at California’s largest commercial roofing contractor during his college years, Brett garnered extensive experience across a spectrum of commercial, industrial, and government projects, working with a diverse array of roofing products.

After 12 years as an employee, Brett charted his path, establishing Highland Commercial Roofing in 1991. Since Highland’s inception, he meticulously cultivated Highland from a modest local enterprise into a robust regional presence in the western United States. Highland now spans across six offices, serving seven states in the region and continues to grow. Brett actively contributes to operational management and plays a pivotal role in shaping future business development strategies throughout the Highland network.

Beyond his business commitments, Brett remains ardently dedicated to the roofing industry’s advancement. He has held the position of president at the Southern California Roofing Contractors Association and maintains his role as a past president and current board member of the California Roofing Contractors Association. Within these capacities, he offers his expertise to various committees focused on safety, insurance, and legislative matters. Additionally, Brett has served as an Executive Board Member of the National Roofing Contractors Association, where he contributed as a member of the technical specifications committee. His ongoing involvement in these associations underscores a profound commitment to advancing and improving the roofing industry as a whole.
